Big Bill Broonzy – Just A Dream
Today, when Barak Obama became the first African-American to win the White House, I’d like to upload this blues. Big Bill Broonzy, singing his song ‘Just a Dream” with these memorable lines: “I dreamed I was in the White House, sittin’ in the president’s chair I dreamed he’s shaking my hand, and he said “Bill, I’m so glad you’re here” But that was just a dream, Lord, what a dream I had on my mind…” Well, it was ‘just a dream’ in 1956, when this film (‘Low Light, Blue Smoke’) was made. Today it became the reality. The change has come. I hope it will help our troubled world, as a whole, to become better.
